For Parents & Carers
The Kids Academy has five separate courses teaching age-appropriate online safety for children approximately 4–9 years old.
The five kids courses
- My Information & My Passwords — private information and passwords
- People Online, Friends & Secrets — strangers, secrets and gifts
- My Body, Photos & Cameras — body privacy and camera safety
- Games, Links, Popups & Money — scams, downloads and purchases
- Kindness, Bad Content & Online Safety Hero — bullying, upsetting content and hero rules
Course 3: Body & image safety
This course sensitively covers body privacy, camera safety, not taking/sending private images, not requesting private images from others, and telling an adult if someone asks — including if something has already happened.
No graphic content or imagery is used. Children remain fully clothed in all illustrations. The lesson focuses on safety, body privacy and asking a trusted adult for help.
The main safety rule taught throughout is STOP. CLOSE. TELL. and the No-Trouble Promise — children can always tell a trusted grown-up, even after a mistake.
Read To Me & privacy
Every kids lesson and quiz screen includes a 🔊 READ TO ME button so children can complete courses with a parent or carer even if they cannot read every sentence.
The kids courses do not collect address, email, phone, school, age or location. Only a display name is collected for the track completion certificate.
